Feeding The Hungry
Connecting with our roots in kalihi
Established in 1998, Feeding the Hungry (FTH) is STN’s oldest outreach. We began with delivering food boxes out of a small van to seven families living in Kalihi. Today, the FTH Kalihi distribution provides food for over 600 families every Thursday. Each week, team of Surfing The Nations volunteers distributes around 25 – 30,000 pounds of food weekly provided by the Hawaii Foodbank and Aloha Harvest. Feeding The Hungry has two main goals – meet the physical needs of people in our community, and also build relationships with each recipient to leave them feeling loved and valued. We believe that everyone deserves to be noticed and treated with dignity and joy.

“Changing Lives Among Youth”
C.L.A.Y. stands for Changing Lives Among Youth, which is exactly what we hope to do through our K-12 kids program. We’re passionate about seeing the keiki (kids) of Hawaii reach their full potential by creating an environment where they are encouraged in their learning, character, and talents. At CLAY, our kids receive free homework help, art lessons, dance classes, and character development from consistent, loving staff members and interns. Our heart for this program is to pour into the local youth of Wahiawa and give them a space to grow in what they know and discover what they don’t. We believe that in affirming our local youth’s worth, value, and talent, they will rise up to be leaders for the islands.
