STN California’s Internship Program is designed to train and equip a new generation in servant-leader humanitarian work through a variety of outreaches as well as classroom-style teachings. Not only do interns spend three months living in Southern California, but they get to live immersed in a vibrant community of radical people from all over the world and be challenged by staff who are equipped to lead them in serious character-building adventures!

Not only do interns spend three months living in Southern California but they get to live in intense community housing with radical people from across the world, be trained and challenged by staff who are equipped to lead them in serious character-building adventures!

Community Living
Here at Surfing The Nations, we believe that life is meant to be shared with others so we have developed an intentional community that believes in affirmation, accountability, and serving one another. You will be living in dorm style housing with other interns and members of the STN California family.
Accomodation
Interns live in dormitory-style housing with individuals from all over the world and are able to share fun and challenging experiences, meals and community life together. Meals are not provided but a fully-equipped kitchen is shared with roommates within the internship program.
Schedule
Let me break it down for you. About 40 percent of your time will be spent in various teachings and trainings, 40 percent serving in our outreach programs, and 20 percent hard core adventuring. While the week to week schedule is fairly consistent, every day looks different and you will always be experiencing new and exciting things throughout your program.
Curriculum
The internship program focuses on character development and personal growth through various teachings and trainings. During your internship you will learn what it looks like to lead yourself well in order to help lead others.
Main Outreaches
You will be serving along side our staff in many different local outreaches including Good Times Youth, Feeding The Hungry food distribution, Surf & Skate, and partnering with other local families and organizations.
